Let's get started:

Experience:

EMEA Content Marketing Coordinator

June 2022 - January 2023

I joined Otter, a groundbreaking platform that helps restaurants of all sizes optimize their operations, maximize revenue, and understand their results. Initially, I focused on the EMEA market, where my responsibilities included writing compelling blog posts in English, French, and Arabic to generate organic leads, coordinating customer video testimonials, and hosting webinars.

International Content Marketing & Localization Coordinator

January 2023 - October 2023

After a strategic shift in the organization, my role expanded to coordinating content marketing and localization initiatives for the entire international region, encompassing EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. This involved ensuring that all content assets were efficiently localized for each region while continuing to create content assets such as still and video ads for EMEA.

North America Content Marketing Associate : Enterprise Accounts

October 2023 - Present

I then transitioned to working exclusively on the US&C market, concentrating on enterprise customer acquisition and retention. In this capacity, I created assets aimed at landing and retaining key customers like Burger King, Subway, and McDonald's, as well as exploring new verticals such as cinemas and retail stores. My responsibilities ranged from developing landing pages to producing customer case studies and reports.

Content & Partnerships Project Manager - UK, Italy & EU

November 2021 - June 2022

After graduation, I was fortunate to contribute to Pulse Life's European expansion as the Content & Partnerships Project Manager for the UK, Italy, and the EU. In this role, I negotiated partnership agreements with leading scientific institutions and developed in-app tools for healthcare professionals. This position required me to manage both external stakeholder relationships and the internal content development process, from writing content to collaborating with tech teams to ensure proper display within the app. You can learn more about Pulse Life by clicking on the logo.

Education:

Since moving to France in 2013 to pursue my studies, I have dedicated myself to mastering international marketing. During my bachelor's degree in Applied Foreign Languages, I had the opportunity to intern at the Hilton in Dubai, where I gained invaluable marketing experience. This inspired me to further my education with a Master's in International Business. During this degree, I not only learned from some of the top minds in the field but also completed additional internships, including one at Weber Shandwick, where I worked with major sports brands such as Tokyo 2020 and Formula One. After graduating, I had the opportunity to pursue an MSc in Marketing & Brand Management through a work-study program while working as a Junior Global Brand Strategy Specialist at Sanofi, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.

Video Editing

During my time at Otter, I had the opportunity to learn video editing. In just a few weeks, I went from knowing nothing about Adobe Premiere and After Effects to editing video ads and instructional videos. Here are a few projects I particularly enjoyed working on.

Video Testimonial Coordination

Customer testimonials, whether written or in video form, are some of the most compelling content we can produce to help leads understand our product and convert. Here are a few projects I had the pleasure of coordinating:

Localization & Project Management

Working as a localization coordinator for multiple regions and cultures requires excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. Here are a couple of examples of my work:

Multi-language website content upgrade & platform switch

One of the most challenging tasks we faced was upgrading all website content and design for 10 countries while transitioning from Webflow to Prismic. As the localization coordinator, I worked with agencies, spell-checkers, product marketers, and local stakeholders to ensure we captured the right tone. Additionally, I collaborated with developers to prioritize landing pages and forms, ensuring they remained operational during the transition to prevent any loss of leads.

Multi-market how-to video localization

Another challenging project I worked on was localizing product demonstration videos for various markets, including Korea, Japan, Spain, and Portugal. This involved not only editing the videos but also coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure all bases were covered and the content was culturally appropriate and effective.

Other content

I was also fortunate to work on other projects that contributed to converting leads for both SMB and enterprise customers in the US&C and other regions. Here are a few examples:

Mariana Clavel

International Brand & Content Manager - Otter
Karim was my first hire when building the international content team for a global food tech company.Karim is a doer. He’s one of the most disciplined and accountable people I have ever met. You can always count on him to take on projects, keep you updated along the way, and deliver them on time, every time.

Beyond his work ethic, Karim is incredibly positive and resilient. He never gives up and stays optimistic even in challenging situations. He adapted seamlessly through various priority changes and always found his footing.

His language skills are a huge bonus. It was a joy to work with Karim, and I highly recommend him to teams looking for a "Swiss Army knife" marketer.

Rueann Dass

APAC Brand & Content Manager - Otter
I first worked with Karim on cross-regional teams in a global restaurant tech company. My impression of Karim then was that he is an extremely quick learner and a 360 content marketer who could go from creating email campaigns to editing videos. So it was an absolute joy when I got to work with Karim within the same team and see him in action. Karim is curious, flexible and an incredible executor. Our entire team trusts him to get any project done, often in record time, and he's always ready to take on more.

During our tenure, Karim held multiple roles in the company and adapted to the demands of each with ease and expertise. Karim has an impressive grasp of multiple languages, and is well versed in the producing creative visuals while managing projects with a sharp attention to detail.

I also really appreciated Karim's sense of humor and tenacity in challenging situations, an infectious trait that uplifts any team he works with.

I'm excited to see what's ahead for Karim, and envious of the next team that's lucky enough to have him!

Global Product Marketing Manager - Otter
If there were two words to describe Karim, those would be "smart" and "proactive".

I first worked with Karim at Otter while he was managing the localization of our global marketing assets for the EMEA region. We didn't collaborate as much then but I observed that he was very proactive in reaching out and ensuring that all projects were accurate and aligned with our objectives. He would always ask clarifying questions and even spot good callouts to make the work better.

We worked together more often when he moved to being the Content Marketer for Enterprise. It was a pleasure working with him creating new content as he's extremely smart. He understood the products and the target audiences well in such a short amount of time. There was never a lack of good ideas coming from him. When it came to execution, his writing stands out.

Any team would be lucky to have Karim. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to marketing.
